I generally work in watercolours or mixed media (occasionally highly textured ) and am currently enjoying experimenting with acrylics and also ink with watercolour. Much of my artwork is inspired by the towns , villages and wildlife of the North York Moors and Yorkshire coast.
I was born in Wakefield, studied in London and Bradford and spent the 1980s and 90s in the South Lakes area. I am a member of the Kendal Art Society, Whitby Art Society and Vale of Pickering Art Club and have exhibited in West Yorkshire, Kendal and here in the North East.
Recent commissions include illustrations for Anglo Saxon England in 100 places ( author David Edmondson ) , a number of South Yorkshire walkboards and various portraits of people , pets and properties !
